Instant Sandwich Dhokla is quick, instant and mouthwatering. Instant Sandwich Dhokla is a much loved Gujarati snack. Instant Sandwich Dhokla is a Layer of white Rava Dhokla with a green chutney spread over it and topped up with a layer of yellow Khaman Dhokla.

Ingredients
Chutney
1 cup Coriander
2-3 Green Chili
½ cup Mint Leaves
Ginger
½ tsp Cumin Seeds
Salt
1 tsp Lemon Juice
Rava Dhokla
1 cup Rava/Suji/Semolina
½ cup Curd
1 tsp Green Chili-Ginger Paste
Salt
1-2 tsp Sugar
½ tsp Fruit Salt/Eno
Besan (Khaman) Dhokla
1 cup Besan/Gram Flour/Chickpeas Flour
1 tbsp Rava /Suji/semolina
Salt
¼ tsp Turmeric Powder
1 tsp Oil
1 tsp Green Chili-Ginger paste
1 tsp Sugar
1 tsp Lemon Juice/ ½ tsp Lemon Salt
1 tsp Fruit Salt/Eno
Tempering/Garnishing
2 tbsp Oil
Curry Leaves
1 tsp Mustard Seeds
1 tsp Sesame Seeds
Pinch of Asafetida
Chopped Coriander
Instructions
Chutney
Combine all the ingredients, blend it in a blender and make a smooth paste, keep aside, use water as required while blending.
Rava Dhokla Batter
Take a bowl, add semolina, curd and mix well.
Add salt, sugar, green chili-ginger paste and make a smooth thick batter, keep a side.
Don’t add fruit salt now.
Besan (Khaman) Batter
Take another bowl and sieve the flour.
Add semolina, salt, sugar, green chili-ginger paste, turmeric and mix well.
Make a smooth-thick batter without any lumps, use water as required.
Add ½ tsp oil and keep aside.
Don’t add lemon juice and fruit salt now.
Process
Heat the steamer, boil the water, and then grease the plate.
Just before steaming, add fruit salt in Rava/semolina batter, add little water and mix well, pour immediately in the plate.
Place the plate in to the steamer and then cover the lid, steam for 10 minutes.
Remove the plate form steamer after 1-2 minutes, spread the chutney on Rava Dhokla.
Take the Besan Batter, add lemon salt/juice and mix well. Add fruit salt, 2 tsp water and again mix well, pour immediately on Rava Dhokla chutney plate.
Place the plate again into the steamer and cover the lid, steam for 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes remove the plate from steamer, keep aside, let it cool and then cut into the square equal pieces.
Heat the oil in a small pan. Add mustard seeds, when seeds crackle, add asafetida, sesame seeds and curry leaves.
Pour the tempering over the Dhokla.
Now Instant Sandwich Dhokla is ready.
Before serve ,garnish Instant Sandwich Dhokla with coriander.
