No Yeast Whole Wheat Garlic Naan

No Yeast Whole Wheat Garlic Naan, It's the easiest bread I have ever made. It is No Yeast Whole Wheat Garlic Naan, no proving time and eggless too, still crispy soft and fluffy naan like restaurant. Even though there is No yeast, no egg and yes… not made in tandoor/oven too, still turn out super soft.

Recipe type: Flat Bread

Ingredients
  • 2 cup Whole Wheat Flour
  • ½ cup All Purpose Flour/Maida
  • ½ cup Yogurt/Dahi
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • ½ tsp Baking Soda
  • Salt
  • 3-4 tbsp Oil/Ghee/Butter
  • 1-2 tbsp Minced Garlic
  • ¼ cup Chopped Coriander Leaves
  • Flour for Dusting and Rolling
  • Melted Butter for Applying
Instructions
  1. Sieve the both flours in a mixing bowl, along with salt, baking soda and baking powder.
  2. Add oil, yogurt and mix it well, knead it, use water as required and make smooth, soft, little bit sticky dough. Apply few drops of oil the dough, cover it and keep aside for 30 minutes.
  3. Take the dough, knead it again and divide it into small sized balls, cover it and keep aside.
  4. Heat a griddle/tava on medium flame, take one dough ball, dust it with flour, roll it and make a disk.
  5. Apply or sprinkle minced garlic and chopped coriander leave over the surface of disk, sprinkle 2-3 pinch of flour and roll it again, make a big round circle than disk.
  6. Turn upside down rolled circle, apply or brush it with few drops of water, so it can be easily stick on a tava.
  7. Place the watery side on the preheated griddle/tava, after few seconds bubble comes out on naan surface, cook it for 1 minute.
  8. Then turn the tawa upside down and roast all side of the Naan directly on high flame till golden brown spotted.
  9. Now remove it from the tawa, apply melted butter on naan immediately.
  10. Use same process for rest of the dough balls and make soft, crispy Naan on stove top without tandoor or oven.
  11. No Yeast Whole Wheat Garlic Naan is ready, serve hot with any Indian curry or subji.
Notes
• I used wheat flour and maida combination but you can use any one flour as per your choice.
• If you don’t want to sprinkle garlic and coriander leaves separately on naan then you can add directly into the dough making process.
• You can keep aside dough more than 30 minutes for best result.
• Vegan could replace yogurt with vegan yogurt.
