Sukha Puri Recipe

Sukha Puri Recipe

Sukha Puri is a one of the chaat variety. Sukha puri is popular Indian street food chaat. Typically, Sukha Puri is served as a complimentary after having pani puri or with other chaat. A plate of pani puri is never complete without the sukha puri or meetha puri or masala puri and chaat lovers can often be seen demanding “Bhaiya ek sukha puri dena” without any shame as if it is their right! Raise your hand if you are in that shameless category! No doubt I fits in that perfectly! For sukha puri I don’t have a shame to call myself shameless….Lol…. Some people even demand more pani, before saying “Ye toh thoda teekha hai, aur ek sukha puri dijiye bhaiya” In Mumbai, it just doesn’t end at pani puri, but it ends at “bhaiya ek sukha puri dena”. For those who don’t know, it’s pretty much an unsaid rule amongst foodies where you must ask for a complimentary Puri as soon as you are done eating the chaat. However, nowadays many vendors offer a Sukha Puri before you even ask for one. But if the bhaiya doesn’t give you a free Puri, you know what to do, right?

Sukha Puri Recipe

If today were to be my last day on Earth, I would love to have one last plate of Pani Puri and sukha puri before dying. People who share this love for Pani Puri will understand what I mean. I love all kinds of Chaat but Pani Puri is my all-time favorite. The feeling you get when the puri breaks in your mouth is incomparable. The aftertaste is a treat of spicy and tangy flavor. Pani Puri is eaten all over the country, although it is called by different names. Some might call it Puchka, patase, pakodi, while others might call it Golgappa. On the inside pani puri is filled with magical potatoes, ragda, sprouts, boondi or chana.
I am up for a plate of pani puri anytime, anywhere! For the love of Pani Puri, I have tried many different types — right from the roadside eateries to high end restaurants which serve flavored Pani such as mango, tamarind, hing, pudina, etc.…. but they can’t compete to the roadside chaatwala.

Sukha Puri Recipe

While the sukha puri recipe is extremely simple, puris can be stuffed with so many options. i have used the simple potato base for stuffing it is easy and fast to prepared. but you can use ragda or boiled chickpea or potato or all together mixture for stuffing. Top with chaat masala and sev and you are done but it also tastes great when topped with chutneys, sweet or green spicy. And then serve these stuffed sukha puri chaat immediately once you prepare it. otherwise, it may turn soggy if served later. moreover, the recipe takes only a few minutes to prepare, so it should be good to prepare and serve immediately.
