Homemade Tahini Recipe

Make this quick, easy and basic Homemade Tahini that's so much better than anything you can buy at the store. Homemade Tahini is a staple food of North African, Greek, Iranian, Turkish, and Middle Eastern cuisine. Tahini is a paste made from sesame seeds. It's perhaps most notable for its essential role in making hummus, although its uses go far beyond that iconic dip. Because of Tahini's high oil content, it is good to refrigerate to prevent spoilage.
