Suji Halwa also known as a Satyanarayan Prasad! Suji Halwa is very popular sweet dish, Suji Halwa is almost prepared everywhere on the auspicious occasion and most commonly on the day of Satyanarayan Pooja.

Ingredients
1 cup Suji/Semolina/Wheat Rava
• ¾ cup Ghee
• 1 cup Sugar
• 2 cup Whole Milk
• 5-6 Saffron Threads
• 1 Ripe Banana Peeled and Chopped
• ¼ tsp Cardamom Powder
• 2-3 pinch Nutmeg Powder (opt.)
• ¼ cup Mixed Dry Fruits Chopped (Almonds, Cashew and Pistachios)
• 2 tbsp Raisin/Manuka
• 2-3 tsp Slivered Almonds-Pistachios for Garnishing
• Dry Rose Petals for Garnishing (opt.)
Instructions
Heat ghee in a deep pan/kadhai. Add suji/rava and roast it on low flame till slightly golden brown or 5 minutes on medium flame till aromatic smell come out.
Add chopped banana, dry fruits and raisin. Stir it again for a couple of mins on low flame.
While roasting suji heat milk with saffron threads on low flame.
Add hot milk gradually into the roasted suji, mix it and stir it till all milk evaporated and suji becomes soft and double.
Add sugar, cardamom powder, nutmeg powder and mix it well. Stir it with spatula till mixture leaves the pan, it going to become non-sticky mixture.
Cover the lid and cook it for 2 minutes on low flame, then switch off the flame. Suji Halwa is ready to serve, garnish it with some slivered dry fruits, dry rose petals and serve it fresh.
Notes
• You can skip the banana as per your choice. • Add or less sugar level as per your choice. • You can add saffron thread into the milk for golden brown color.
