Mango Mastani or Mango Milkshake, Pune’s very own creation. Mastani is a thick mango milkshake with chopped fruit, almonds, and ice cream or whipped sweet cream on top. This name comes from the mythology of Bajirao, the legendary Peshwa monarch, and his beautiful love, Mastani.

Ingredients
  • Ingredients for Mango Shake
  • 2 Medium Sized Ripened Mangoes (Alphonso or Kesar)
  • ¼ cup Sugar
  • 2 Big Scoop Vanilla Ice Cream
  • 2 Cup Whole Milk

  • For Toppings
  • ½ cup Chopped Mango Cubes
  • 2-3 Scoop Vanilla Ice Cream
  • 1-2 tsp Slivered Pistachios and Almonds
  • 1-2 tsp Tutti Frutti
Instructions
  1. Peel the skin of mangoes and chop it into small cubes, discarding the seed.
  2. Place the mango chunks in the mixer jar, along with the sugar, ice cream, and milk, and blend until a smooth puree is made.
  3. In a tall glass, place some mango cubes and a dollop of ice cream, and then fill with a mango shake.
  4. Once again, top with ice cream, followed by tutti -frutti, almonds, and pistachios.
  5. Serve fresh chilled Mango Mastani with mango chunks on top and enjoy.
Notes
You can use any sort of ripe mango, but Alphonso or kesar are the best.
For a sugar-free variation, use sugar-free sugar and sugar-free vanilla ice cream.
If you have a nut sensitivity, you can skip the chopped nuts.
Toppings and shake assembly are entirely up to you and your preferences.
