Presser cook the moong dal with chopped tomato, turmeric powder, cloves and cardamom till the dal is cooked, and then keep aside.
Chop onion, garlic and keep aside.
Heat the oil in a pan/vessel, add cumin seeds, curry leaves, minced garlic, whole dry red chili, pinch of hing and saut till golden brown.
Now add chopped onion, ginger paste, red chili powder and saut again till onion golden brown.
Add cooked dal, add required water, salt, dry mango slices and mix well, bring it to boil.
Add chopped coriander leaves and mix well.
Lasooni Moong Dal is ready serve with steamed rice, roti or paratha.
