Mango Mastani

Mango Mastani or Mango Milkshake, Punes very own creation. Mastani is a thick mango milkshake with chopped fruit, almonds, and ice cream or whipped sweet cream on top. This name comes from the mythology of Bajirao, the legendary Peshwa monarch, and his beautiful love, Mastani.

Ingredients
  

  • Ingredients for Mango Shake
  • 2 Medium Sized Ripened Mangoes Alphonso or Kesar
  • ¼ cup Sugar
  • 2 Big Scoop Vanilla Ice Cream
  • 2 Cup Whole Milk
  • <br>
  • For Toppings
  • ½ cup Chopped Mango Cubes
  • 1/2 cup Fresh Whipped Cream
  • 2-3 Scoop Vanilla Ice Cream
  • 1-2 tsp Slivered Pistachios and Almonds
  • 1-2 tsp Tutti Frutti

Method
 

  1. Peel the skin of mangoes and chop it into small cubes, discarding the pit.
  2. Place the mango chunks in the mixer jar, along with the sugar, ice cream, and milk, and blend until a smooth puree is made.
  3. In a tall glass, place some mango cubes, tutti frutti, slivered nuts, a dollop of ice cream, a spoon of whipped fresh cream and then fill with a mango shake. Do not fill all the way let the little space for top layer for ice cream and tipping.
  4. Once again, top with fresh whipped cream, scoop of ice cream, followed by tutti -frutti, and slivered nuts.
  5. Serve fresh chilled Mango Mastani with mango chunks and candid cherry (optional) on top and enjoy.

Notes

  • You can use any sort of ripe mango, but Alphonso or kesar are the best.
  • For a sugar-free variation, use sugar-free sugar and sugar-free vanilla ice cream.
  • If you have a nut sensitivity, you can skip the chopped nuts.
  • Toppings and shake assembly are entirely up to you and your preferences.
