Rose Panna Cotta

Rose Panna Cotta

Rose Panna Cotta is rich, silky smooth and deliciously super creamy with taste and texture. The unique flavor of rose make this panna cotta royal and classic, that you will crave again and again. This elegant and refreshing panna cotta is so easy to make with just a handful of ingredients.

There is no magic or no need to make layer to give this dessert ombre effect, just use good quality whipping cream and full fat milk that’s it and this beautiful dessert is ready. This chilled dessert perfect for hot summer days. Give your classic Italian dessert a rose flavor with this elegant rose panna cotta. Perfect make ahead dessert for entertaining guests.

Rose Panna Cotta

Panna cotta is an Italian dessert of sweetened cream thickened with gelatin or agar agar and molded. The cream may be aromatized with coffee, vanilla, or other flavorings. It looks like a custard, but it’s paler and much easier to make. Genetically, it’s in the wobbly Bavarian cream family, but it doesn’t involve any whipping or really anything beyond heating some dairy and dissolving some gelatin. It was a taste of what dairy can be if it really, really tries.

I have tried a lot if different panna cotta recipes like, passion fruit, mango layer etc.. and I still hold that this is best of them all. Each and every spoon of this dessert is creamy rich, that melt in your mouth with sweet and fragrant flavor. Serving this dessert in small cups make it individual serving and looks fancy. This recipe is full proof and simple.

Ingredients:
• 1 ½ cup Full Fat Milk + 2-3 tbsp Extra
• 1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream/Fresh Cream
• ¼ cup Maple Syrup or Agave Syrup
• 2 tsp Agar Agar Powder (Vegetarian Gelatin)
• 1 tsp Rose Nectar/Essence
• 2-3 Drops of Pink Food Color (opt.)
• 5-6 Ramekins or Silicone Mold

Method:
1. In a small bowl add 2-3 tbsp warm milk and agar agar powder, mix it well and keep aside.
2. In a saucepan add milk, whipping cream, maple syrup, rose nectar and food color.
3. Mix all ingredients, heat it on low to medium flame and keep stirring it. Once about to simmer add the soaked agar agar mixture, mix it using hand whisk, and cook it until dissolve it.
4. Switch off the flame, mix it well, then divide the mixture into the molds. Let it cool down to room temperature, then place it into the freezer and chill for at least 3-4 hours.
5. Once done, invert into the plates and enjoy chilled.

Tips
• You can add beetroot powder or natural pink rose syrup instead of food color.
• Use full fat milk and full fat cream to get perfect pink Ombre effect.
