Butterscotch Salty Peanut Bars

Butterscotch Salty Peanut Bars
There is nothing like making your favorite Peanut Snack Bars from scratch. I made a batch of Butterscotch Salty Peanut Bars using extra-large, salted peanuts, and they were delicious. I also topped them with cardamom powder after baking, perfect for my Indian taste.
This is one of the best bar recipes; they’re just so easy to make and so tasty! Ensure you use only salted peanuts such as Virginia Salted Peanut. These crispy peanut butterscotch bars make a wonderful family treat. They are super easy to make and are perfect for your kids’ lunch boxes.
This dessert will immediately have you puckering as the flavors burst into your mouth. It’s so simple to make. It’s sure to be a favorite of yours and you’re sure to enjoy serving it to your guests.
Butterscotch Salty Peanut Bars

Ingredients
For Base
• 1/2 cup Melted Butter
• 3/4 cup Sugar
• 1 1/2 cup Flour
• 1/4 tsp Salt(opt.)

For Top Layer
• 3 cup Salted Roasted Peanuts
• 1 package Butterscotch or Caramel chips
• 2 tbsp Butter
• 1/2 cup Corn Syrup
• 1 tbsp Water
• 1 tsp crushed cardamom powder(opt)

Method
1. Preheat the oven to 350 F.
2. In bowl, add melted butter, sugar, and stir it well till soft and light texture.
3. Add flour, salt, and combine everything very well.
4. Take a 9×13 baking pan, line it with parchment paper.
5. Press the flour mixture evenly into the bottom of the pan. Place the pan into the oven and bake it about 10mins in the preheated oven.

6. Remove from the oven and spread salty peanuts over it and keep aside.
7. In saucepan, add butterscotch or Caramel chips, butter, corn syrup and water.
8. Cook and stir it on medium flame until all melts properly.
9. Pour the melted chips mixture all over the peanuts; spread it using a spatula.
10. Don’t worry about covering everything, it will fill while baking.
11. Bake it about 12-14 mins until bubbly around the edges.

12. Remove it from the oven, sprinkle with cardamom powder and let it cool completely.

13. Remove it from the pan and cut into bars. Store it in an airtight container.

Tips
• You can add other dry nuts, such as cashews, pistachios, etc.
• You can use chocolate morsel instead of butterscotch.
• You can store the bars for up to a month in an airtight container.
