Masala Pav (Spicy Bread) is very famous classic mouthwatering Mumbai street food. Masala Pav is really tasty and easy recipe with using butter and some species. If you haven’t tasted Masala Pav, you have missed a lot. When your taste buds tickle you for something spicy, Mumbai’s mouth-watering ‘Masala Pav’ not only thrill the taste buds, but also makes the breakfast more palatable. Masala Pav is an easy snack to prepare when you want to cook something quick and yet filling. It’s tasty too. The recipe can be doubled or tripled and makes for a great party snack too.
Pav Bhaji and Masala Pav are our favorite street food snacks which are not restricted to Mumbai itself but are made in almost every household across the country.
Masala Pav is tasty and fun to eat. Masala Pav, whoever invented bread will be awe-struck to see it being put to such good use! quick and easy, Masala Pav is made by stuffing spicy tomato-onion gravy inside butter-laden Pav. Sometimes, the Pav is just roasted on tava with butter, loads of coriander and Pav Bhaji masala.

Ingredients:
• Pav/Bun
• 2 cup Boiled and Mashed Potatoes
• 1 cup Finely Chopped Onion
• 1 cup Finely Chopped Tomato or Puree
• ½ cup Grated Capsicum
• 1 tbsp Garlic Paste
• 2 tsp Pav Bhaji Masala
• Salt
• Butter
• 2 tsp Red Chili Powder
• 1 Lemon
Garnishing
• Chopped Onion
• Chopped Coriander Leaves
Method:
1. Heat butter in a deep pan; add garlic paste and stir for few seconds, then add onion and sauté till onion becomes golden brown.
2. Now add grated capsicum and sauté for 2 minutes on low medium flame till it becomes soft, then add tomato in it, stir it and mix well.
3. Add salt, Pav Bhaji masala, red chili powder and mix it well, then mash mixture using potato masher till mix well on medium to high flame.
4. Now reduce the flame and add mashed potatoes, mix well with masher and add ½ cup water, mix well.
5. All mixtures sauté for 4-5 minutes till it becomes fine smooth masala, squeeze the half lemon juice, mix well and keep aside.
6. Slit the Pav into halves and heat griddle, add/rubs ½ tsp butter on it and sprinkle some Pav Bhaji masala, then roast the Pav on butter mixture on medium flame till slightly golden brown. Use same process for remaining Pav.
7. Place the roasted buttery Pav on a plate and spread prepared masala in Pav.
8. Masala Pav is ready. Now garnish it with chopped onion- coriander leaves, lemon wedge and enjoy Mumbai street food Masala Pav at home.
