Restaurant Style Creamy Matar Paneer Recipe, a delicious vegetarian curry. Restaurant Style Creamy Matar Paneer is very popular in north India. Restaurant Style Creamy Matar Paneer is made of using paneer cubes and green peas are simmered in spicy onion-tomato. Paneer and matar are made for each other, they are perfect combo of grate curry. A rich gravy which holds star ingredients, the aroma and good looks make this curry more irresistible.

Restaurant Style Creamy Matar Paneer

Creamy Matar Paneer is enriched with high protein and spices aromas which is great in flavor. Paneer or Indian cottage cheese and green peas curry is popular North Indian recipe that you find in almost all restaurant menu, also used frequently in North Indian kitchens. a delicious combination of soft paneer and healthy green peas in a mild spicy tomato-based gravy, is a treat to taste buds at any meal. It is spiced with garam masala and often served with rice or breads such as naan bread. It is most ordered dish in Indian restaurant. So today I’m sharing with you the best Restaurant Style Creamy Matar Paneer Recipe.

Green Peas or Matar

Ingredients:

• 1 cup Fresh or Frozen Green Peas
• 1 Cup Paneer Cubed

For Gravy
• 1 cup Chopped Onion
• 1 ½ cup Chopped Tomatoes
• 1 tsp Grated Ginger
• 3-4 Garlic Minced
• 5-6 Cashew Nuts
• 1-2 Green Chili Chopped
• 2 tsp Oil or Melted Butter
• Salt

Other Ingredients
• 1 tsp Oil
• 1 tsp Red Chili Powder
• ¼ tsp Turmeric Powder
• 1 tsp Garam Masala
• 1 tsp Coriander Powder
• Salt
• 1-2 Bay Leaves
• 1-2 tsp Kasuri Methi
• ¼ cup Chopped Coriander Leaves
• ¼ Cup Fresh Cream (opt.)

Method:

For Gravy

1. Take a pan or wok. Add oil/butter for gravy. Once oil heat enough add ginger, minced garlic, chopped green chili, cashew nuts and sauté it for few seconds. Add chopped onion and stir fry it till becomes golden brown on low to medium flame.
2. Now add chopped tomatoes and sauté it on medium flame till becomes soft and mushy, switch of the flame and let it cool down.
3. Once the saluted mixture is cooled down add into the blender or mixer jar and blend it till smooth soft paste for gravy.

Process

5. In the same pan heat the oil. Add bay leaves, the prepared paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and garam masala. Mix it well and sauté it for 2 mins.
6. Add ¾ cup water and cook it till boiling point. Add fresh or frozen green peas and salt. Mix it, cover it and cook it for 3-4 mins on medium flame.
7. Add little more water if gravy becomes thick or as per your choice and cook it.
8. Now add paneer cubes, mix it and cook for a minute, then add fresh cream, crushed kasuri methi and chopped coriander leaves.
9. Restaurant Style Creamy Matar Paneer Recipe is ready to serve with roti, paratha or naan. Serve hot and enjoy the meal.

Tips:

• You can add shallow fry Paneer cubes if you like.
• You can add ¼ cup of milk instead of cream, it gives a good taste in curry
