Two Homemade Masala Chaas Recipes

Recipe 1: Masala Chaas with Dry Spices
Ingredients:
• 1 cup Plain Yogurt
• 1-2 tsp Roasted Cumin Seeds
• ½ tsp Peppercorn
• 1-2 tsp Amchoor Powder
• 1 tsp Dry Ginger Powder
• 1” Inch Cinnamon Piece
• ¼ Fennel Seeds
• ¼ tsp Black salt
• A pinch of Asafoetida (Hing)
• Salt to taste
• Ice Cubes (optional)
• Fresh Coriander Leaves for Garnish

Instructions:
1. Blend roasted cumin , peppercorn, cinnamon, fennel seeds, black salt, ginger powder, amchoor Powder, asafetida, salt and make a smooth powder.
2. In a mixing bowl, add yogurt, 2 cups of water and whisk it until smooth.
3. Add 1-2 tsp prepared powder, taste and adjust the seasoning as per your preference.
4. Add ice cubes (if using) and give it a quick mix.
5. Pour the masala chaas into serving glasses and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
6. Serve chilled.

Tips:
• Roasting the cumin seeds before grinding them into a powder enhances their flavor.
• Use freshly ground spices for maximum flavor.
• Adjust the spice level to your liking by adding more or less chili powder.

• 1 Small Piece of Ginger
• 1 tsp Roasted Cumin Seeds
• 1-2 Green Chilies Chopped
• ¼ Cup Fresh Mint Leaves
• ¼ cup Fresh Coriander Leaves
• Salt to taste
• Ice cubes (optional)

Instructions:
1. In blender, Add the ginger, cumin seeds, chopped green chilies, chopped mint leaves, and chopped coriander leaves and make coarse paste.
2. In a mixing bowl, add yogurt, 2 cups of water and whisk it until smooth.
3. Add salt to taste and mix well.
4. Taste and adjust the seasoning as per your preference.
5. Add ice cubes (if using) and give it a quick mix.
6. Pour the masala chaas into serving glasses and serve chilled.
